Default Heros Not So Great?

Ok, when I first read about heros being able to get the skills you choose, that sounds pretty fun. I found alot of nice team builds given by people about how they'd set up their heros and such, but my question is this: How will you know the heros have the AI necessary to excecute a certain chain of skills. Let's say you give your necro a ss build, but how will he/she know how to use arcane echo before ss and not some other spell, for instance. Sure, it'd be wonderful if you can now solo missions with a friend and 6 heros, but how'd it work? They'd still be alot better than henchies, but not so great as everyone seems to be saying they'd be. I dunno, post your thoughts on this.

You could always click AE on your heros skill bar, and after it was cast click SS and then aggro the enemy. Hero AI is still being improved, I have a suspicion that they've left the hero AI foundation in the game, and henchies are currently using it (with their gimped builds, as opposed to scripted AI per henchie) but that's just my own bit of speculation. We will see hero AI improved by release, and afterwards as well.

Well, as stated above, you can control what skill your hero uses next. This will probably get pretty difficult to do, but the capability is there.

Other than that, I know people tested various hero builds during the preview to see how the hero handled it. I'm sure this will continue and we will get a good handle on which builds are hero friendly and which are not. It's just like everything else in this game, over time, we will test and learn how best to use the features / AI / etc...

Hero AI limits their builds but at the same time hero AI makes some builds more powerful so it kinda balances out.
